社，唐代以来地方的最小行政单位。社公，即土地公。翻看过往的个人短片时，我发现不经意间将社公剪辑到成片中。祂勾起了我的回忆。于是我多次前往家乡广东顺德，对伦教镇东西部的村落中60多个社公进行映像纪录。我想探讨这一中国传统民间信仰是如何植根地缘，植入个人记忆，塑造群体行为。 Se (Commune) is the smallest administrative unit since Tang Dynasty. Se Gung is also known as Soil-Ground or Lord of the Soil. I have found that I captured and edited Soil-Grounds in my video works unconsciously. That made me recall something. So I have got back to my hometown Shuntak, Kwangtung several times to shoot and record over 60 Soil-Grounds in Lunkao Town’s eastern and western villages. I want to explore how such a traditional Chinese folk belief roots geographically, imbeds in one’s memory, and shapes population’s behaviour.

The film tells the story of police chief Şahin, who fights relentlessly against criminals. Şahin and his friend Turgut are assigned to gather evidence about a global crime syndicate.
